The entering class will be selected on the basis of available openings in the order determined by the student’s ranking on the multi-criteria screening (75% of class) and based on the existing Waitlist order (25% of class). 每位合格的申请人, when selected, 一定要决定进班吗, 将他或她的名字从候补名单中删除, 或者要求延期. 申请人只可推迟入学一次. 不保证下一学期入学. Students who choose not to enter when selected after a deferment must meet all current requirements and reapply as a new student. - High school chemistry will no longer be accepted to fulfill the Nursing Prerequisite requirement – students must complete a college chemistry course with a corresponding lab

The nursing program is approved by the 加州注册护士委员会 and received national accreditation from the Accreditation Commission For Education in Nursing, Inc. Upon completion of the Associate Degree program in Nursing , students will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN examination leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse. The student must have fulfilled all requirements as defined by the California State 注册护士委员会. Students who choose not to complete the degree requirements are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination after completion of content required for licensure. Ventura College offers a two year associate degree in nursing (ADN) through the School of Nursing and Allied Health. Learning opportunities consistent with the requirements of the 加州注册护士委员会 are provided and are based on our program's philosophy and objectives. The Associate Degree Nursing program is approved by the 注册护士委员会 (BRN). 截至2013年8月, the program has gained national accreditation from the 护理教育评审委员会 (ACEN). Accreditation by the ACEN is an independent choice by Ventura College and validates that the nursing program meets higher standards of nursing education. Nursing is a vocational program leading to completion of an associate degree, 许可和/或转让.
In 2012, the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing established the OADN (护理副学士组织) Alpha Delta Nu护理荣誉协会 to recognize the academic excellence of students in the study of Associate Degree Nursing. Since the origination, many charters have been created throughout the state of California!
In March 2016, Ventura College School of Nursing became a charter of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society. We are proud to be chartered as the Delta Lambda章节 of Alpha Delta Nu. Students are recognized for excellence in academics and professional behavior maintaining criteria of a GPA of 3.每门护理课程0分或以上.
